Proton is not only a practical candle holder but also an eye-catching designer piece. The form is meticulously modelled by hand in wax by the artisan and then transferred to a mould for the sandcasting process. The surface is then finished with shiny nickel plating. Melted wax can be easily removed with warm water and dishwashing liquid, which should be done by hand. Wax should not be removed with sharp objects, as this would scratch the shiny finish.
